Obituary

William Heighton Banfield (Bill) died at the age of 82 on Tuesday, March 22nd after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Bill was a gentle and loving soul. He always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. He loved to joke around and was very intelligent, so he always had interesting things to talk about. He adored his family beyond anything else and is survived by his son Erik, his daughter Seanna, her husband Jeff, his granddaughters Samantha and Tyler, and his granddog Ruby.
There will be a memorial service on Tuesday April 5th, 2022.  Visitation with family between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm with the service to begin at 1pm. This will be a celebration of Bill's life, so please dress comfortably and wear bright colours instead of black. Flowers are not necessary, but donations to Parkinson Canada or UHN Foundation would be appreciated by our family. (Links found Below)

Fair winds and following seas Bill, I will miss our conversations about golf and the masters. Seanna, Erik, & family I did not know your father for very long but he was a wonderful talker and that we did, on more than one occasion. Please accept my condolences on his passing, I will miss him.

To Seanna and Erik, family and friends, Andy and I would like to express our sincere condolences. We have many wonderful memories of your dad at Toronto Island boating days and the delicious lamb dinners with your grandmother. Bill was always a kind gentleman who loved his family so very much. May you find comfort in his love and pride in your accomplishments. He is at peace.
