Obituary
In his 101st year, William died peacefully, on August 4, 2008. William, of Telaje and Pidhaije, Ukraine, beloved husband of the late Anna Budna and dear father of Professor Ihor Kusyszyn and his late wife Florence (nee Jamieson) of Thornhill and Carl Kusyszyn of Hamilton. Loving grandfather of Kathryn Kusyszyn and Jorg of Sooke, British Columbia and Paul Kusyszyn of Newmarket. Special thanks to the staff at the Ivan Franko Home for their kindness and excellent care. Friends may call at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St., (east of Keele) on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. Interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 12 noon. During World War II, William and his brothers fought for the freedom of Ukraine and saved many lives through the underground. After bringing his family to Canada in 1948, William held several jobs then had a long and successful career in real estate.
