“Nafi” Bibi Naffeesa Morgado
April, 9th, 1963– January 30th, 2022
(Born in Barataria, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago)
Heaven gained an Angel. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our dearest "Nafi” Naffeesa Morgado (Mohammed), age 58, at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, Ontario. Devoted wife of José, and loving mother of 2 children: Fatima (Gaetano), and Mark Morgado. She is free from suffering and will be reunited with her predeceased son, Anthony, and Parents, Azeem, and Haffina. She was a sweet and gentle sister to her siblings, Ezan (Barbra), Bobby (Camilla), Allan (Kaneeza), Gail (Tazim), Sherry (Mickey), Hayden (Nazreen), and Desi (Phil). She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, sister and brother in laws, cousins, extended relatives, and friends. Nafi has and will continue to be an inspiration to us all, for living life to the fullest and not letting anything get in the way. She had a magical way of bringing joy every time she walked into the room. No one who met her could forget her glow and smile. We will miss her hugs, her laugh, her fiery personality and wisdom. Nafi had a big spirit and loved to be loved, as there was no heart as big as hers.
Mom, your wings were ready but our hearts were not. Through light and love, she will forever be treasured in our sacred memory, and never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, kindly make an offering to a charitable donation in our Beloved Nafi’s name.
Due to the current pandemic restrictions and direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective January 5, 2022 all guests attending funerals and visitations must pre schedule their attendance in order to prevent line ups or exceed current capacity limits. Dear Morgado Family Our sincere condolences to your family. It is a great loss not only to your and Nafi’s families but for everyone who has known her. I always looked forward to being with her every year on Phil’s Birthday and she always warmed those she met with her sincere and smiling approach to life. Covid has taken away the opportunity to see her in the last couple of years, which we miss dearly. We will cherish the memories and take comfort in knowing she will always remain in our hearts. My dear brother Joe, niece Fatima and nephew Mark, I am still in shock. How is it that I find myself writing in a memorial book for my sister-in-law? Someone please wake me up for this bad dream. It can't be true. I'm struggling to find the words to properly express my deep sadness for your tremendous loss. How badly I wish I could take away your pain. All I can do is express love. That I can do. What I love about Nafi: - her sweet smile and how her eyes twinkled - her spark and zest for life - how much she loved music - her manicotti (amazing cook) - her sense of humor and her laugh - her Trini accent - how she loved to organize parties and gather family Most of all, I loved how she loved you Joe and how she gave me you, Fatima and Mark. What an incredible mother. What a spectacular legacy! Ohhhhh the incredible memories. What a gift. What a blessing. My only comfort comes from knowing she lived and loved fully and that we will all reunite one day. I imagine her late son Anthony waiting for her with his grandparents as she reached the gates of heaven. I keep telling myself "we get to cry" and "we get to hurt" because we loved sooooo hard. What a great love story. What a great life! "Love is stronger than sorrow and deeper than time...love if FOREVER."

Dear Brother Joe, Fatima, Mark, Nafi's siblings and family, Phillip and I extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of our sister-in-law Nafi. We know family was everything to Nafi. And she made everyone feel like family with her caring nature. Her love and devotion to Joe, Fatima, and Mark was truly inspiring. You all brought her so much joy. Her heart was full and she glowed. Thanksgiving Day was Nafi's favourite holiday and she spoke often about being grateful. We are forever grateful for Nafi's life, love, and blessing. May she rest in eternal peace. And may her love and presence continue to be felt spiritually. 'Love is beyond what man can define For love is immortal and God's gift is divine.' We love you all deeply. God bless. Joe, Fatima and Mark, sincere condolences from Ray, Anita and Sabrina. Words cannot describe the devastation you are facing right now but know that you have family and friends that will be there by your side. Nafi was a beautiful person inside and out. She was kind, loving, caring and a no nonsense person. Her passion for cooking and feeding others was remarkable. She cooked every meal from the heart. I remember Sabrina ate one of her cheese-paste sandwiches and asked for the recipe, Nafi said "call me and I will walk you though it" So said so done, Nafi walked her though how to make her famous cheese-paste sandwiches. Nafi, as you look down down upon us from the heavens above, know that we will all be taking care of Joe and the kids. Rest in Peace Nafi. Love Ray, Anita and Sabrina.

Dear Joe, Fatima and Mark, They’re aren’t any words to describe the sadness that we feel and do share in your loss. But I do hope that the memories of your lives together will carry you this difficult time. I will forever remember her gentle soul and warm smile. The numerous weekends spent together growing up, lying in bed and giggling about the man she would one day marry. You were certainly blessed to have had each other. It was an honor having her as my aunt and friend. Please know that she’s safe in the arms of her creator, where there is no sickness or pain . Love Colleen, Eric, Tyler & Eryn
