Obituary
Celeste Conceição Gonçalves Magalhães passed away on October 2, 2020. Ciça, as she was called by her family and friends, is deeply missed by her loving husband, Avelino, and devoted children, Jorge and Paula. She is mourned by her daughter-in-law, Tonita, son-in-law, Tony and extended family in Portugal, including her brother Manuel, and sisters Adelaide and Inês and deceased sister Maria. She was a loving grandmother and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Jacob, Lucas, Emma and Gabriel,
Born in Vilar da Veiga, Portugal on October 24, 1937, Celeste and her husband emigrated first to France where their children were born, and then to Toronto in 1968. They were married for 58 happy years. Ciça was full of life, energy and love. Her family was the centre of her world and what she loved the most was to spend time with her grandchildren on whom she lavished all her love and attention. Ciça also loved music from the time she was a child. She was deeply devoted to the church and continued to sing in the church choir every Sunday. She also took immense pleasure in Portuguese folk dancing and in her trips to Portugal where she enjoyed spending time with her family. Ciça, we all love and miss you very much! May the Lord keep you in His eternal embrace.
