Obituary

God called Maria peacefully on July 18, 2021 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joe Correia. Cherished by her dear children, Rui, Joe, Fatima and Maria. Proud grandmother to Amy, Jesse, James, Adam, Amanda and Cody and great grandmother to Preslynn, Ella, Ethan and Marcus. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. The visitation will take place at the Cardinal Funeral Home Bathurst Chapel on Thursday, July 22, 2021 4-8pm. A funeral mass be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church on Friday July 23 at 9.45am. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired - a memorial donation to the Fairhaven Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family. Beginning June 30, 2021 the Bereavement Authority of Ontario is once again permitting visitations to take place that are open to the public. We must continue to maintain physical distancing, the wearing of masks and may not allow more guests than 25% capacity at any one time. Once the maximum limit has been reached, we will ask any additional guests to kindly wait outside in a physically-distanced line until there is room to enter safely.
