I am sorry that I am unable to attend the memorial service. I first met Maria when Baird invited our music class to a BBQ at their house. I believe that Anastasia and Barbara played for our group - we loved the time with your family. They have remained on my mind through our annual connection at Music Festival events where Baird and I would catch up on school, spouses, children, trips, marriages and grandchildren. I last saw Maria at a Trio Bravo concert where she was gracious as always and contributed her usual wit to the conversation. As a friend, wife, mother and grandmother, her spirit touched all of us - those memories are precious and I hope you think of them often.
