Obituary
Olender, Mary Wlad (1915-2010. Formerly of Toronto, passed away peacefully in Burlington on April 9th in her 94th year. She was a devoted mother,grandmother and great-grandmother whose strong religious faith, sense of duty and keen interest in people sustained her throughout her long life. Predeceased by her husband Michael (1968), she leaves behind her son Larry Olender (Shirley), and her daughter Dr. Vivian Olender. Also two granddaughters, Deborah Kindos and Sandra Olender (Iain Carroll) and one great-granddaughter Melina Kindos. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of “The Village of Tansley Woods” and to Fr. Bohdan Sencio. Family and friends will be received at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (near Keele), on Wednesday April 14th from 7-9 p.m. with Panakhyda at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 15th at 11a.m. in the Funeral Home chapel and burial at St. Volodymr’s Cemetery, Oakville. Memorial donations may be made to St. Volodymr’s Orthodox Cathedral Chapel Building Fund or to the Ukrainian Museum of Canada (Eastern Branch).Visitation
