Obituary

Helen was the baby of seven siblings and was born and raised in the Philippines. Loving daughter to Alfredo and Leonila Sanchez, she came to Canada in 1990 to start a new life and join her sister Merle and her family. Helen leaves behind her other sister Marietta and her brother Zosimo, along with many nieces and nephews. She worked hard to maintain three jobs while also supporting her relatives here and in the Philippines. Her friendly and warm personality drew everyone close to her whether it was at work or at social gatherings. She opened her heart and her home to many international students, where they would eventually be treated and loved like family.  Her strong work ethic and determination was admirable to all. She will be dearly missed as she has made an impact in all of our lives. Thank you to everyone who has been such a light in her life and brought her as much joy and happiness as she did to us.

She will always live in our hearts with memories that will be cherished forever.

Due to the current Covid - 19 restrictions in Toronto that allow a maximum number of guests to attend a funeral, the service details will be kept private and attendance will be by invite-only.

The family thanks you for your support and understanding during this challenging time.

To Helen’s Family. I know some of you well and some of you not at all. I met Helen at Shoppers Drug Mart and we worked together for a long time. I definitely grew to love her as a co-worker, a friend, an amazing human being. My heart is broken because I will never hug her again. God bless you all. Your loss is so unfathomable and much too soon. Heaven has welcomed a special angel. Be strong and revel in your wondrous memories. I know I will. My deepest sympathy. Lisa Lytwyn-Nobili
