I am so saddened to hear of the passing of a dear friend. Although I haven't been in contact with Moose since the Dump days. We spent many a night there. One of the most funniest moments I have ever witnessed was the Olympic Situps. We also had some great times in Florida. Peace be with you. Mat's

How sad I was today to hear of Wally's passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to Betsy and your family. Meeting Wally at The Cottage Butcher was so special. He had the biggest smile and heart of a special man. He always would help me out to my car with my bags, although I always said no I can manage. But not Wally, "hey Jane it's no problem". I said cheers to him last October and we both said "see ya in the spring". I shall miss him and his infectious zest for life. He was a kind and caring person, who shall be greatly missed.

His sense of humour and mischievous ways always added to the comradeship during our pool sessions together. I am so sorry for your loss! There are not enough words to express what a wonderful person Wally was inside and out. I will never forget his warm hospitality at the Cottage Butcher always with a smile on his face. If you were down he would always knew how to make everything all right again even when he wasn't well himself. He had a lot of courage and a great spirit always upbeat and optimistic even in his last days. He will be sadly missed leaving a very large whole in our hearts. God bless!

Wally Demchuk. What a fun person he was. I used to work at Ukrainian Caravan, where I waited tables and tended bar. Wally would come in after his baseball games with the team and hang out and have a great time with everyone. He was always respectful to me , and would protect me if anyone gave me a hard time. He had such a GREAT sense of humor and a jolly laugh. It was very rare that I would see him without his baseball cap on. He was a practical joker and I saw him and his friends pull MANY pranks that were the funniest. I STILL laugh to this day thinking about them. Wally was a good friend, a good man and I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I no longer live in Toronto, I moved to Virginia 6 years ago. But I OFTEN think about my life at UK Caravan where I met SO many great people. MOOSE was one of my favorites. My heartfelt condolences to Wally's family and other friends. He will be missed but one thing for sure, he will NEVER be forgotten .
