Obituary
Corradina Giampapa passed away on Thursday, December 24th, 2020 at the age of 91. Her daughters Francesca and Sandra were both with her at the time. Predeceased are her husband Vincenzo and beloved daughter Cettina. Cherished nonna of Mark and his husband Mike, James and his wife Amy and Sean, as well as mother-in-law to Neil and James, Corradina will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Due to the current provincial regulations regarding Covid-19, the Funeral Service and Entombment for Mrs. Giampapa will be private for immediate family only. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Corradina was born in Pachino, Sicily to Concettina and Salvatore Cianchino. When she first came to Canada with her parents in 1953, Dina did piecework in a clothing factory on Spadina Avenue in Toronto. In 1954, she met and married Vincenzo Giampapa. They had three daughters, Francesca, Cettina and Sandra. The family lived in Snelgrove for over twenty years and moved to Brampton in 1983. Corradina was a very hard-working woman with a keen love of fashion design. She owned a retail fabric store in Brampton and was self-employed as a seamstress. Dina was highly skilled and her wide range of creations included beautifully detailed wedding gowns for clients and elaborate costumes for her grandchildren. Corradina was a wonderful cook and was most happy spending time with her beloved grandchildren and sharing meals with family. We will miss you dearly mom. We love you.Visitation
Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 23, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
