Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Agostinho Pires, age 84,  who passed away at home on Wednesday September 10th, 2025, surrounded by his family in Toronto.

He was a beloved husband to Maria Da Cruz, loving father to Helen, dear father-in-law to Valdemar, and a loving grandfather to Daniel and Emily.

He will always be with us in our hearts and will be remembered for kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, September 14th at the Cardinal Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. A funeral mass will take place at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church on Monday, September 15th at 10:00 am.  Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery.

Guests are invited to attend a 7th Day Mass in memory of Jose Agostinho on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, at St. Agnes's Church (14 Grace St, Toronto) at 6:00pm
