Obituary

Eugene Sywanyk, born June 28, 1927, Markova, Ukraine, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2011 at the Bickle Centre, Toronto Rehab. Predeceased by his loving wife Tamara in 1987. Caring ‘Tato’ of Wolodymyr (Linda), Terry (Stacey), Lidia (Mike), Ihor (Joanne). Loving ‘Dido’ of Tim and Rachel. Brother of Lubomyr (Olga) and Bronyslav in Ukraine. Long time employee of Inglis Ltd. Respected contra-bass singer in the ‘Prometheus’, ‘Orion’ and St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Church choirs for over 55 years. Many thanks to his wonderful caregivers at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Bickle Centre. He will always be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.
