Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Iwan (John) Beskidnyj on August 5, 2013 at the age of 92. He left this world surrounded by his family who will miss him greatly and love him forever. Born in Petriliw, Ukraine in 1921, he lived throughout Europe during and after WWII, moving to Canada in 1951. Cherished husband to Maria, father to Anna (Ed) & Stefan (Sandy). Grandfather to Lisa (Jose), Andre (Ningyi), Michele, Christopher, Cameron & Nicholas. Adored Gigi to Elena and Veronica. Visitation to be held on Wednesday August 7th and Thursday August 8th 7-9 p.m. at the Cardinal Funeral Home (Bathurst Chapel), 366 Bathurst Street (north of Dundas St.). Panachyda will take place at 7:30 on Thursday August 8th. Funeral to be held on Friday August 9th 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4 Bellwoods Avenue. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, 1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville. In conjunction with flowers, donations can be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4 Bellwoods Ave., Toronto.Visitation
