To all of the Coelho Family, my condolences. I just found out about Manuel Coelho's passing. I saw his name on the Cardinal website, but there was no photo attached, so I didn't connect with the last name. I met him at St. Mary's where he worked tirelessly as a volunteer to keep the church clean and the beautiful landscaping blooming in the spring and summer months. He was a kind and compassionate man and looked forward to our occasional chats. We will miss the bells of St. Mary's Church tolling whenever there is a funeral because he did the honours of tolling them for the funeral masses. I will pray for the repose of his soul, may it rest in the peace and mercy of God, and for courage to his family to endure the days ahead. I met you as a stranger. You left me as a friend. Sr. Manuel Coelho,
You were an exceptional man, who always smiled and greeted everyone who came within your reach. You dedicated your life to always helping others. You never failed to say 'I'll help'. Your dedication to the parishes and the band was enormous. I thank you for all that you did, and I also thank you for having the honour of our paths crossing.
May your patience, strength and love, be with your friends and family at this time while the grieve the loss of an extraordinary man.

May God give you strength to get through this difficult time. We know exactly what you are going through as we lost our dear father just a few months ago. Senhor Coelho was a dear neighbour who was always concerned with everyone, especially while our father was ill. His caring was so much appreciated by all of our family. Sr Coelho will always be considered my band dad. He always took good care of me and always made sure every one was in good hands. He used to call me Frank everytime I saw him and one day I asked why do you keep calling me Franky...lol He said, "Oh pa... Danny Im sorry... You looka like a Franky". I am so sad and the world has lost a good samaritan and friend. I will miss you dearly Sr. Coelho. May you rest in Peace...

Mr. Manuel Coelho (Sr. Coelho as we all called him) was the nicest man you can ever meet. As a person whose family was not musically inclined, I was proud and honoured to call him my music father! Sr. Coelho will forever be missed however, his memory will continue to live on within our hearts and minds. I still continue to be in total denial that this can happen to an active, loving life, healthy man such as Sr. Coelho. Our deepest, deepest sympathies to the family during this very hard time and may all of you not only grieve his death but rather celebrate his life as a wonderful, cheery person.
