Mr. Antonio Correia

Obituary

In loving memory of Antonio Correia, who peacefully passed away at the age of 85 on April 22, 2024. Antonio, a proud Portuguese, was born in Sao Miguel, Açores, Portugal on January 20, 1939, to the late Jose Correia and Maria Teixeira.  He was the beloved husband of Maria Correia and loving father of Tony Correia (Nellie), Steve Correia, Andrea Resendes (Victor), Nicole Esteves (John).  Antonio was cherished as a grandfather by Tyler, Madison, Jacob, Sierra, Olivia, and step-grandchildren Arianna, and Gabriella. He also leaves behind brother, João Teixeira.

Antonio lived a life marked by resilience and grace. He embodied love and kindness as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will endure for generations. As we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff and nurses at both Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospital, for their compassionate care during Antonio's time of need.

We are confident that he is watching over us now, and his memory will always be at the core of our hearts. Thank you, dad, for everything you did for us. You will be dearly missed, but your legacy will live on through the love and strength you've bestowed upon our family.

As we come together to honor his memory, we extend an invitation to join us for his funeral and visitation arrangements.  Friends and Family will be received at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street, Toronto, on Friday April 26, 2024 from 4:00 - 9:00 PM.

Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Parish, 588 Adelaide Street West, Toronto, on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 9:00 AM.

Burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.
