Obituary
PITARO, Antonio - It's with heavy hearts we announce that Antonio Pitaro, after a courageous battle with COPD, and CHF at the age of 80, God called him to heaven peacefully on the morning of December 21st, 2013 with his loving family by his side. Antonio was born on July 8th, 1933 in Simbario, Italy. At the young age of 19, he moved to Germany for work. He married in Italy in 1959, and had four beautiful children. He came to Canada alone and then brought his family over in 1969. He was a loving and honorable person. He worked hard for his family and helped all those in need of him. Antonio will be missed by his loving wife, Maria Rosa. His loving children, Salvatore (Santa), Fortunato (Sonia), Pina (George), Chiara (Joe). He will also be sadly missed by all his ten grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, in laws and his numerous friends and the family dog (Rosie) and cat (Alice). He touched many lives with his wonderful spirit. We would also like to thank all staff at Toronto Western Hospital for all their support. Viewings will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home on Thursday December 26th, 2013 at 6pm-9pm and Friday December 27th, 2013 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm. Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 9:30am on Saturday December 27th, 2013. His resting spot will be at Prospect Cemetery. December 21st changed our lives forever because you left us, you will be forever loved and never forgotten. You will live on in our hearts, we will always love you and cherish the times we had and will miss you terribly, Love, your Family.Visitation
