Obituary

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carlos Manuel Lima, who passed away on May 4, 2026, in his 74th year.

Carlos was the beloved husband of the late Aida Lima, who predeceased him on April 6, 2009. He was a devoted father to Brian Lima and his wife Andrea, and Kevin Lima and his wife Mariana. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Gabriela and Sofia.

Carlos is survived by his dear mother, Maria Leontina, and by his siblings Jose and his wife Vidalia, Conceição and her husband Durval, and Nelia and her husband George. He was predeceased by his father, Antonio.

Carlos was a man who loved his family deeply. He had a kind and generous heart, a strong work ethic, and a loyal love for Benfica. He will be remembered for the love he gave, the strength he showed, and the many memories he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Visitation will take place at Cardinal Funeral Homes – Bathurst, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held at St. Agnes Parish on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 9:45 AM.

Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at approximately 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family in Carlos’ memory.
