It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Cardoso. Born in the city of Ponta Delgada in Soa Miguel. Daniel began working at an early age as a typesetter for Diário dos Açores, where his dedication and craftsmanship were evident.
In 1974, Daniel immigrated to Canada, building a life rooted in love, resilience, and family. He shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Maria Jose, a partnership marked by devotion and strength.
Daniel was the proud father of three children and grandfather to six grandchildren: Carlos, father to Nicholas and Sebastian; Paula, mother to Sophia; and Ana, mother to Daniel, Lucas, and Michael. His family was his greatest joy, and he sacrificed everything to ensure their happiness and success.
An avid sailing enthusiast in his early years, Daniel was a proud member of Clube Naval de Ponta Delgada, where he spent countless hours on the water. His love for the ocean remained a constant throughout his life, reflecting his adventurous spirit and deep connection to nature.
Daniel will be remembered as an incredible father, a devoted husband, and a man whose quiet strength and generosity touched everyone who knew him. His family and friends adored him, and his legacy of love and sacrifice will live on in their hearts forever.
