Obituary
It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished father, Domingos Pinto.
On August 5, at the age of 92 God called him. He is now joined in Heaven, reunited with his one and only true love and wife of 47 years , Maria do Céu Pereira Sabina and their sons Eduardo and Antonio Emídio Pinto and cherished grandson Daniel Pinto Correia whom all left us way too early and are deeply missed. They are all loved and live within our hearts and memories here on earth.
Domingos will be deeply missed by his daughters Marilia (Jose Lopes), Celinia and Rosa (Julio da Silva) and daughter-in-law Teresa Correia Pinto.
Domingos and his family had the rare privilege of being surrounded by four generations of family. Nothing made him happier then hearing the plates banging and the chatter and laughter around our tables during the many family get togethers.
Domingos was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and was very excited to have learned that there is yet another on the way.
Domingos - Avó / Grandpa will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Eddie; Jennifer, Sandra, Jessica, Keith, Bobby, Jeffrey, Michael, Antonio and Luciana.
Great grandparent / Viso avó to Romeo, Elena, Nolan, Liam, Daniel Jr, Nyla, Nolan, Sophia , Tiago, Jasper, Cristiano, Bohdi, Jacob and Weston.
All of whom each had a very special place in his heart and the gift of bringing him extreme joy. Never had his eyes smiled more beautifully and lit up more brightly than when he whispered “I love you too” back.
Domingos was a very strong man who experienced much grief throughout his life. After having lost his mother at a very young age he developed a sense of strength, courage and an unwavering sense of self sustainably. He was a simple hard working man, who loved and valued his family. He was: quick to share his wisdom, give unsolicited advise, and always eager and available to give a helping hand to anyone in need regardless of being asked. It was all these values and characteristics along with his belief of responsibility to family and community that he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
His values and life experiences have shaped Domingos into the wonderful man we know and love! It has been a honour and humbling experience to have him share his life with us. He will be greatly missed but his memory and teachings will stay with us.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in memory of Domingos to Hospice Vaughan or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
