Cardinal’s Holiday Service of Remembrance
Saturday, November 27 – 2 pm
As of June 13,the Ontario government has relaxed many of the restrictions that were inplace for funerals since the beginning of the pandemic.
Although we are still not back to normal, we are now able to accommodate more friends and family than before.Funerals in Ontario are now able to alow up to 30% capacity for indoor services and up to 50 people for outdoor services.
In order to keep our guests safe and healthy, Cardinal Funeral Homes has implemented the folowing protocols for all visitations and services for the families in our care:
For over 95 years, Cardinal Funeral Homes' mission has been to provide exceptional and meaningful funeral service experiences to the families we service through teamwork, dedication and professionalism, as well as to provide comprehensive bereavement resources. We will continue to make every effort to support our families and their guests through their grieving process in this difficult time.
In order for us to continue to serve our families well and in a safe manner, we thank you for your understanding and cooperation with these preventative measures that are temporarily in place.
Jimmy and Andrew Cardinal
We are sad to announce the death of Donald Fenn Currie on November 5, 2021 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He was 91 years old. Don was born in Windsor, Ontario.
His career, after graduating from McGill University took him to the four corners of the world, ending in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He retired to the South of France, started a small wine export firm before settling down to write a great number of blogs under the heading of “JUSTTRYINGTOSORTITOUT” https://justtryingtosortitout.blogspot.com/, some dealing with the great themes of his life time, some musing about the foibles of the human condition, some droll, directed at children, and a few wickedly satiric.
We will miss - and never forget - his infectious joie de vivre, his talent for storytelling, his sense of humour.
Irene, David, Catherine and Peter, his children; Bret, Zoe Jack, Samantha and Benn, his grandchildren; and Jaxon his great grandson.
Instead of flowers, if you wish, a donation to the Children's Defense Fund would be appreciated.
Private services have taken place.
