Peacefully on December 23, 2006 at Baycrest Hospital (Palliative Care). Beloved husband of Antonietta for 51 years. Dear father of Loretta and Dante and his wife Marion. Loving Nonno (grandfather) to Andrea and Madeleine Morassutti of Louisville, Kentucky. Survived by his sister Anetta. Preceeded in death by his brother Pietro and his sisters Maria and Teresa. Giovanni will always be remembered for his kindness and delightful garden; by his many family members and friends in Italy and Canada. Family and friends will be received at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (416-762-8141) on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with Prayers at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 29 at St. Mary of the Angels Church (Dufferin and Davenport) at 10 am. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Lung Association of Ontario or to the St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation.
