Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Humberto Ferreira Unção announces his peaceful passing on, November 16, 2020, at the age of 85 years. Humberto will be leaving broken hearts behind and will dearly be missed by his wife of 56 years, Maria Da Ascenção Furtado Medeiros, and children Nelia Pacheco, Carlos Unção, Osvalda Raleza and Diane Unção. Humberto will also be truly missed by his nine grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Jessica, Scotty, Selena, Claison, Jordan, Sarah and Chantal. A Funeral Service in memory of Humberto will be held at the Cardinal Funeral Home. Unfortunately, with restrictions due to COVID-19 we have reached our capacity. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation in memory of Humberto Unção.  Please visit the foundation’s website for more details: https://www.parkinson.org   Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 14, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person to express their sympathy by posting a message of condolence to our website, donating to a charity of your choice in memory of your loved one or by sending flowers to the funeral home.
