Obituary
Born: October 5, 1936 Died April 1, 2011 Tato passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and family. He was the eldest son of John Hladun and Rosalie Greenwood. He was married to Natalie Hladun (nee Migus) for 52 years and had 4 children and their spouses. Tusia Komarnycky and Roman Komarnycky, Philip and Gundy Hladun, Lulia Hladun, Ivan Hladun and Ronalda Laird. He was THE MOST loving and supportive grandfather and best friend to Mykola Komarnycky, Julian Hladun, Alexa Komarnycky, Robbie Hladun, Rebecca Laird and great grandfather to Gracie Komarnycky. He was the eldest child and loved his brothers and sister, Ken Hladun, Virg Hladun, Lorrie Williams, Allan Greenwood and their children and grandchildren. Our dad touched the lives of everyone he met, whether through his music, his jokes or his compassionate and generous nature. However, most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. He never missed a hockey game, swim meet or music lesson and managed to make each child feel like they were the most special. Our memories will be our reminder of his never-ending love and support. We miss you Tato. Friends will be received at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St. (At Keele) on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm, with Panakhyda at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Josaphat’s Catherdral , 143 Franklin Ave. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 10 am. Interment Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave.W. Memorial Luncheon to be held following the interment in the hall below St. Josaphat's Cathedral, addr. above. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tato’s favorite non-profit organization, The Ukrainian Youth Ensembles.
