Obituary

In shock and sadness the family announces the untimely passing of Jarvis on May 1, 2009, at the age of 18. Precious son to Clemee (with husband Linton) and Giles; beloved and loving brother to Kasim; cherished grandson of Dolores (Victor), Jerome (Ann), Irene and Ingnis; darling nephew to Tainya, Shenelle, Sansha, Larry, Jeevan, Devon, Marilyn, Monica, Edmund, Clement, Tony, Felix, and Vernon; adored cousin to Jahnoie and to many more here and back home; and great friend to Courtney, Lisandro, Llevi, Janielle and many others. Bright, beautiful, soft-spoken, and kind, Jarvis was a joy to his parents and a constant companion and support to his younger brother through all of the short life they shared. He was, in the words of his friends, "one of the good ones." His loss is taken very hard by family and friends and he will be missed terribly by all who knew him. Visitation will be held Friday, May 8th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst St. (at Dundas), 416-603-1444. Funeral Service on Saturday, May 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 867 College St. (west of Ossington). Interment at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 1567 Royal York Rd. (at Lawrence Ave). All are invited to join the family for refreshments afterwards back in the church auditorium. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome to a trust fund established to help the family and to secure future education for his brother, Kasim, that the meaningless tragedy of Jarvis' death be not in vain.
