Obituary

Peacefully,after a brief illness, in his 86th year, at Trillium Mississauga Hospital on Thursday, September 14, 2006 .Will be greatly missed by Frieda, his loving wife of 52 years, and children, Alex (Lenora), Sonja, Leona (Paul Wilson). Grandson, Kyle Wilson, will also sadly miss his Opa. John is survived by his brother Francl and sister Anica, nephews Matija, Jure, Jani, Brane, Janez and their families in Slovenia, brothers Stane, Marjan, Berto and sister Albinca, predeceased by Janko. John's many, many friends, some for over 50 years, will miss his love of life and sense of humour. Fondly remembered for his love of history, (especially as a WWII veteran), all things Slovenian, appreciation of the outdoors, camping, travelling and his curiosity of the world. John turned his training as a harness and handbag maker into a career restoring the interiors of vintage automobiles. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at Trillium Mississauga Hospital for their compassionate and professional care. Friends will be received at Cardinal Funeral Home Earle Elliott Chapel, 715 Dovercourt Rd. (Ossington Subway/Delaware Exit) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2006 at 10 a.m. Our Lady Help of Christians Church (611 Manning Ave.) Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
