Obituary
Jose Coroa passed away peacefully at home on March 6th, 2022 surrounded by his family's tears, hugs and kisses. He will be deeply missed by his three children - Donaria (Jorge), Sofia (Matt) and Joe (Alisha) and three grandsons - Matthew, David and Joshua.
He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and uncle and is survived by his brothers David (Eduarda) and Agusto (Louisa).
Jose is now in the glorious presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and reunited with the love of his life, Sofia and his heavenly family - father Agostinho, mother Diamantina, brothers Eduardo, Adelino, Gabriel, Januario, sister Conceicao and his many brothers and sisters in law.
Jose will be lovingly remembered by family, friends and neighbours as "the Mayor of Montrose" for his beautiful garden, unforgettable smile, and huge heart of gold.

The Celebration of Life for Jose will be private and attendance will be by invite-only. The family thanks you for your support and understanding during this challenging time.

Joe, Alisha and Joshua, our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your loving father, father-in-law and grandfather. The very first time we met Mr Coroa was at Joe's wedding in Dominica Republic with his wife Sophia. Of his many great attributes, the one thing that we remember was his ability to make people feel like we are one big family. His infectious laugh and welcoming smile warm your heart from the moment he greets you. We pray that the Lord will give you strength and courage as you carry on his legacy of Love , Laughter and Family. Donaria and Jorge we are sending our love to you both in this difficult time. We will miss Joe dearly..he was a joker, a strong man and hard worker and so warm and kind. Joe was our next door neighbour for many years and we proudly referred to him as “the Mayor of Montrose”. He was always cheerful & greeted everyone with his booming voice in their native language, like a one man CHIN radio. Generous to a fault, Joe was always eager to help with gardening tips and impishly reminded us every Spring when his beautiful front garden was complete that our property values had just gone up. He and his lovely wife, Sofia, were the best and kindest neighbours that anyone could ask for. He is with his beloved bride now and Montrose Ave will treasure his memory and hold him close to our hearts.
