Sending my beautiful tia Angelina and cousins my deepest condolence for the lost of their beloved husband, father and grandfather. My last memory of tio Jose was when I visited him at his home in Portugal and he was so proud to show off his mini orchard and share his tangerines with us. Throughout my childhood, I heard so many funny stories from my parents about their younger years with my tio and tia Lasquinha. It brings me great comfort knowing that tio Jose and my mother are once again together. They must be teasing each other and poking fun at all of us--I can hear their laugher now. May they rest in peace. They will never be forgotten and their legacy will live on. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

My tio Jose was not a man of many words; however, I always felt very loved and wanted around him. Every time me and my family visited Toronto he opened his house to us with a lot of love. He will always be in our hearts and prayers. He had a great sense of humor and his stories have been passed on by my parents. He was a hard worker and a family man. We are proud to call him our "tio" e irmao.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. Although I didn't know him well he was always affectionate and had very kind eyes. The love I saw he had for his brother and his family touched my heart.
