Obituary
Jose Pinto, also know as Manny, 64 years old of Toronto, Ontario passed away on July 18, 2026. He was born to Laurinda Pinto and Joao Pinto in Madeira, Portugal.
He is survived by his partner Lina Pimentel and her two children Shanice and Isaiah and his nephew, Nelson Pinto.
Manny was a man of God who, although reserved, was spiritually gifted by the Holy Spirit. He was as described in Acts 11:24:
“For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great number of people were added to the Lord.”
He was strong and caring despite his many health conditions. He was a prayer warrior and helped many people through prayer including Lina, which is how they met shortly after her stroke. He played a big role in her recovery process.
Manny enjoyed spending time with Lina, Isaiah and Shanice playing board games, watching movies and trying new foods. He made them laugh with funny nicknames and dancing around the house.
He had an innate sense of rhythm and a strong musical memory. He played the electrical guitar and accordion. He also enjoyed DJing in his younger years. Some of his favourite memories were DJing in his mother’s basement and sharing his love of music and sound systems with his nephew Nelson.
He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by his family.
