Obituary

It is with deep respect and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Mr. Koon Yeung Chan, who peacefully completed his journey of 93 remarkable years on March 17th. A devoted patriarch, a master of his craft, and a beloved member of the community, he leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and enduring family values.

For over 40 years, Mr. Chan was a familiar and welcoming face in the community as the owner of New Fashion Hair Stylist. As a well-respected hairdresser, he didn't just provide a service; he built lasting relationships. His salon was a place of conversation, connection, and care. Through his decades of dedication, he became a fixture of the neighbourhood, serving generations of families with the same steady hand and warm smile.

A Devoted Family Man Beyond his professional life, Mr. Chan’s greatest pride was his family. He was a man of integrity who led by example, teaching his children the importance of resilience and "filial piety" (孝).

He is survived by his loving children: His eldest daughter, Joanne Chan (and husband John); His eldest son, Tony (Yuk Tung) Chan (and wife Judy); His second son, Frank (Yuk Fung) Chan (and wife Shu Wai); along with his cherished grandchildren Justin, Jeffrey and Aidan, who will all carry forward his spirit and teachings.
