Dear Mario, I found out about your departure by fluke watching a holmes on homes episode many years ago and my heart sank. You were so young when I met you, you must have been in your early 50's considering you left us at 57. What a shame. But God has a mission for all of us and they say that he takes the best sooner than later because they have great work awaiting them in Heaven. I know in my heart that was the case for you old friend. You made a very difficult time in my life a lot more hopeful and pleasant way back when I was starting in Canada on my own, away from my family and friends. I still cherish many of your beautiful and simple stories. You're top shelf. I will never forget our couple of years together, now when you generously solicited my "expertise" when opening la Porta aperta and I was moving on to other things. I would have helped you for free. You're a gem and I will always remember you. At your family's orders if they need anything. Least I can do for a friend. God bless you. Javier
