Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Yovorsky, on Sunday September 24, 2023. Beloved husband of Marian and father to Andrea and Mark. Brother to Walter and late sister-in-law Olive; brother-in-law to Patricia Bugaj and late brother-in-law Adam. He will be fondly remembered by nieces Diane, Carolyn, nephew Michael, the late Christine, many friends, colleagues and students.
As a school principal, Michael was honored to influence the academic and spiritual growth of students by creating a positive and patient learning environment, all in his own unique ways.
Friends may gather at the Cardinal Funeral Home (92 Annette Street) on Thursday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Panachida to be held at 7:30pm. Funeral service to be held on Friday at 10:00am, located at St. Demetrius Church (135 La Rose Avenue). Internment to follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St Clair Ave W).

Please accept the deepest condolences from the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate. It is unfortunate that we didn't hear about Michael's passing until after the funeral. The Sisters would have wanted to be at your side praying for the repose of the soul of a dear friend. Sister Florentine especially wishes the family to know of her heartfelt sympathies. She and all of us will remember you all close to our hearts.

Our children went to school together and we lived around the corner from each other.

Always will have fond memories of Mike at our family events, especially the many Thanksgiving dinners at Yola’s cottage. It was a blessing to have known him and to call him family, not just a friend. Sending our love to Marian, Mark and Andrea.
