Peacefully at the Ivan Franko Home in Toronto on Saturday, August 23, 2008 in his 88^th year. Peter, the loving husband of Anna, recently celebrated their 60^th wedding anniversary. Dear father of Walter and his wife Lesia and Ola Cholkan and her husband Eugene. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Natalka and Stephan Korobaylo and Christina and Gregory Cholkan. He is survived by 2 sisters in Ukraine. Peter was a long time member and cantor at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church in St. Catharines. Peter’s family will receive friends at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St., (east of Keele St.) Toronto on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral (110 Franklin Ave. Toronto) Interment will take place at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville at approximately 12 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Ivan Franko Home would be appreciated. "
