Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Pryce on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the age of 50. Richard, a beloved son to Brigid Cherubin, is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives spanning Canada, St. Lucia, England, the United States and beyond. He was preceded in death by his older brother Douglas.
Affectionately known as "Rich" to many, Richard was a kind-hearted and humorous soul who touched the lives of countless friends throughout his diverse career. His journey led him to serve with dedication in the Canadian Army Reserves with the 48th Highlanders of Canada. He also contributed significantly to Toronto's vibrant film and television industry.
Richard's life was marked by a spirit of adventure that took him across the globe, each journey enriching him with stories that captivated all who knew him. A dear friend aptly reflects, "For those who knew Rich, life was simply better." While his sudden departure leaves our hearts heavy, we draw comfort in the knowledge that his life, however fleeting, was a gift from the Lord. May those who were touched by his presence cherish and continue his memory.
The funeral services will be livestreamed on Tuesday, July 16, 20024 at 11 am. You can view the services at this link: https://youtube.com/live/-90gnU80rWY

It’s so hard to have to say goodbye so soon. Although we did not meet many times it was obvious that you were a kind, generous and loving person. May you rest in God’s eternal peace.

Despite being family, we did not meet many times in life because of our different geographical locations. However, Richard always seemed happy, easy going and enjoyed a good laugh. Richard's birthday was 2 days before mine and I have fond memories of sharing a birthday cake with him on my 40th birthday when I was visiting the Canadian family branch. Rest in peace, my dear cousin.

My sincere condolence. I first new Rich when he was a young recruit and got to know him as he grew as a young man and soldier. As a friend and comrade he bodied the true spirit of brotherhood. Pax Vobiscum Rich, rest easy.
