Obituary
Robert Neally was one of the kindest men that ever lived and brought calm and reassurance to everything he ever managed.
Robert James Neally was born Sept. 28, 1951, in the City of Toronto where he lived his whole life until his passing on Aug 1, 2024. He was the cherished husband and best friend of Marcy (Doyle) Berg who loved him with all her heart. He is survived by his brother Donald, wife Patrica, his sister-in-law Beverly Roberts Neally and his Nieces Shannon, Janine, and Stefanie. He will also be missed by Mark Berg (Sierra) and Laura Berg. He was predeceased by his brother Gerald, sister Sharon and by his parents Michael and Marie Neally.
Above all things Bob was a builder. Since his graduation from the University of Toronto Mechanical Engineering program in 1974, Bob was involved in construction. He was very proud of his career and took pride in every project. His work at Infrastructure Ontario gave him a variety of projects and he loved everyone of them. After his retirement he became a Sidewalk Engineer and walked the streets of the city he loved and visited job sites from the other side of the fence.
Bob the builder built many long-term relationships over his years. He was kind, thoughtful, and loved a good laugh. He was a kind boss, a loyal friend, a good golfer and most loving husband anyone could have asked for. He has left a big hole in many hearts. Rest in Peace Bob, you will be missed.
There will be a memorial service for Bob Neally in the event room at Paupers Pub, 539 Bloor St. W. on August 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Bob would have loved nothing more than to see his friends together raising a glass and smiling.
