Obituary
On the 3rd of January 2023, Stephen Simpson suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away. He was 64 years old.
Steve was a highly intelligent and talented man, who possessed a profound love of the arts and nature.
He was a proud, playful and loving father to his children Alexander, Leonora and Angelika, who he consistently protected, nurtured and entertained. He felt truly blessed to have them in his life and was filled with joy, in every moment they shared, as he watched them grow.
To his wife Alexandra, he was a tender and beautiful soulmate, a true, honourable romantic and the love of her life.
Steve filled their family home with laughter, music, conversation and warmth. He found his greatest happiness there, and his steadfast love was as unique as his soul.

Life is fleeting, but the kindness, humour and intellect that Steve exuded will leave an impression on us forever. We had the pleasure of working with both Stephen and Alexandra, in the capacity of art advisors. Whenever I visited their home, I was always struck by the warmth and how the artwork they chose to surround themselves with reflected their zest for life. As many others have mentioned, Stephen was a kind and inviting soul who made you feel at ease. He was always eager to ask interesting questions, and was genuinely interested in your story. I was associated with Steve for many years when he was Technical Director at Sun Chemical. He was a fine English gentleman who gave much to his associates and customers. Steve was highly talented and very personable. I never missed an opportunity to accompany him on customer visits. Our industry was enriched by his presence.

His support and leadership assisted me with my career, and I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Steve. When he left Sun Chemical, he always kept in touch. Sending my sincere condolences to Steve's family and friends. I met Steve back in the early 90's. working at Sun Chemical where he was Technical Director. While he left shortly after to pursue other career opportunities over the years we occasionally crossed paths and in recent times we were certainly delighted to be reacquainted with him through his ink consulting business. Steve always brought forward intelligence, creativity and positivity about the projects he was working on. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
