Obituary

BANKS, Veale Lynwood After a long and courageous battle with MS, and surrounded by his family, Veale "The Challenger" Banks peacefully passed away. He impacted and brought so much joy to everyone who met him, fondly remembered for his story telling and knowledge of sports. Veale was born in Harrow, Ontario to Ruel and Gladys Banks. He was the youngest brother of ten siblings. He was raised by his grandparents in Harrow, Ontario and made Toronto his home in 1958. This is where he met and married his predeceased wife Gail Banks and out of that union came two wonderful children William "Will/Billy" Lynwood and Karen "Karrie Bum" Lorraine Banks. He will be fondly missed and always loved by his four grandchildren Matthew, Amanda, Eric and Lucas and his great-granddaughter Serena Mae. His brother Winston (Barbara) and his sisters Frances, Ethelwyn and Lola will always cherish their memories of their brother. Veale had a very special relationship with his nephew Archie and Ms Beverly Scott as well as three special nieces Donelda, Alida and Judy and will also be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
