The last time I saw you, you were your sarcastic, comedic self! You’ve always been that way, I’m so glad you never changed.

A simple conversation, turned into a friendship that will last a lifetime. Thank you for being the big brother I never had and teaching me how to be a better man. We had our moments of happiness, sadness and anger, but through all that you made my life and those around me, better. I have a heavy heart, but I know you and that beard would be proud of me. I'll stay strong and help others like you taught me, and one day I'll be able to see you and catch up like old times. To my big brother and mentor, RIP Whitney.

Thank you Whitney for your love and laughter. You’re positive energy was infectious and always brightened up our day. I’ll cherish the memories. From xmas at the centre every year to birthday parties at Wanda’s house. Those were the good old days. We would enjoy music, good food and lots of laughs. Little Jordan and Whitney running around with smiles on their faces, Whitney teasing Danyell and paying the price when she would snap back. It was always with love.
I was so proud to see you on screen in the movie Doomstown that I was blessed to be a part of with you. You grew into solid man and gave back to your younger family members. Because of this, your legacy will live on. My heart goes out to Wanda and Danyell plus the entire Turner family and everyone who was touched by Whitney’s presence. May you find peace in the coming days, weeks, months and years. Love you Whitney from your big cuz Kenny.

I was one of Whitney's teachers at Central Tech. He was a kind, thoughtful, hilarious, and bright young man. Whitney was one of my favourite students. He could light up a room. I know his loss will be deeply felt. My sincere condolences.

I knew Whitney very briefly however in that short amount of time I can say that I am blessed to have known such a wonderful human being. He was always there to help a friend in need and never asked for anything in return. I am proud to call him my brother and always will until we meet again so I can hear his beautiful poetry again. My deepest condolences. I was Whitney's high school teacher and coach. He was one of my favourites. He was funny and had as laughing all the time. I remember his drama at Muskoka Woods, his constant mimicking of Bill Cosby and his pleasant spirit and nature. He was a blessing and always held a special place in my heart.
