Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zbigniew (Ziggy) Kazmierczak, who left us peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 13, 1942, in Warsaw, Poland, Ziggy was pre-deceased by his wife, Anna Kazmierczak. He is survived by his two children, Agnes Kazmierczak (Enrique Gabriel Canzani) and Carl Kazmierczak (Kathleen), as well as his five cherished grandchildren: Jackson and Tyler Canzani,  and Charlie, Abigail, and Harrison Kazmierczak.

Ziggy was a proud immigrant who, after earning his Master's in Engineering, moved to Canada with his wife and two young children. He enjoyed his work in the Canadian aerospace industry, spending many years working for De Havilland and Bombardier.

He loved being outdoors and Ziggy found joy in spending time camping in the stunning landscapes of Tobermory, Ontario. He also had a love for cooking, often preparing delicious meals accompanied by a glass of good wine. His loyal dog Toby was a constant companion and a source of comfort.

Ziggy's kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private family service will be held in memory of Ziggy. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hennick Bridgepoint Foundation in support of the place where he spent his final days.

May he rest in peace.
