Obituary

Alexandra Furlani (Artuchov), beloved wife of the late Anton and cherished mother of Daniel (Patricia) and Anton (Pat), precious grandmother of Alexander (Ricki), Kathleen (Alexander), Michael and Peter, passed peacefully on January 6th, 2023 in her 89th year. A dedicated member of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Toronto and Our Lady of Smolensk in Jackson’s Point, as a founding member and as the warden for many years. Alexandra is fondly remembered by her grandchildren from their summers spent at the cottage together. Some of Alexandra’s many accomplishments include; co-owning A & A Printing and A & A distributing. Alexandra’s kindness extended to several members of the community from Russia, as they began their new lives in Canada. 

Funeral services will take place at the Holy Trinity Church (23 Henry St, Toronto) on Sunday, January 8th at 2pm and on Monday, January 9th at 11:30am. Alexandra will be laid to rest in Jordanville, New York, at the monastery later in the week. In lieu flowers, donations can be made to the Holy Trinity Church.

She was a true friend and kindred spirit as we shared many joys and sorrows for approximately 37 years.
