Obituary
On Thursday, April 7, 2022, Andrea passed away at home, at the age of 48, surrounded by her beloved husband Bill, her cherished parents Orysia and Stefan Lejbiuk and her much loved sister Oksana Lejbiuk. Andrea will be deeply missed by her family and leaves behind her sister-in-law Kelly Cabral (Dennis), her uncle Bill (Jeanette), her aunts Oksana, Marika (Walter), Bodhanna (Terry) and Oksana (Slavko) and her cousins Matei, Peter, Tamara, Stefan, Markian, Ulana, Andrew, Michael and Taisa and her ever-faithful canine companion and assistant Fitz.
Andrea pursued many passions: Pysanky painting, sewing, crocheting, crafting, gardening, and bedazzling. She put her own creative and dramatic stamp on everything she did. With a flair for organizing, Andrea spent countless hours planning her and Bill's many European adventures, which always included elaborate professional photo shoots. She was equally adept at planning extended family gatherings in her garden, and in Niagara Falls. Her brined turkey was a specialty.
As a successful mortgage agent, Andrea had a vast network of colleagues and clients who will miss her dogged dedication to the best terms possible. Her mentor, Caroline Callero, encouraged Andrea early in her career and continued to be supportive of Andrea throughout.
In the last eight years of her life, Andrea faced many health challenges. She remained positive and amazed her family and friends when, even in the hardest of times, she was thinking of others ahead of herself. Andrea inspired all of those around her with her funky fashion sense, her strength, courage and indomitable spirit.
In keeping with Andrea's wishes, there will be a private family ceremony. A celebration of Andrea's life will be held later in the summer, in her much loved garden.
Andrea, we will miss you and your quirky sense of humor. You brought joy to many and your bright spirit will shine eternally.
