Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Anna Kostiw on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 at Humber River Hospital “Finch” after a lengthy illness at the age of 86. She will be greatly missed and will remain forever in our hearts. Beloved wife of Bohdan Kostiw for 61 years. Dear mother to Myra and husband Ihor Rudensky, Roman and wife Zena. Loving ‘babcha” to Marko and Nicholas Kostiw. Anna’s gentle and kind nature will live on in our memories. Family and friends will be received at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (just east of Keele) on Friday, September 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. A Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Catholic Church, 15 Church Lane, Thornhill on Saturday, September 3rd at 10 a.m., meeting directly at church. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre or the Alzheimer’s Society.
