Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Antonia Alexopoulou on May 23, 2025, at the age of 86. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend to many.

Antonia was predeceased by her beloved husband Elias Alexopoulos (1988), and her siblings Panagiota and Christos. She is survived by her children Despina and George, her brother Konstantinos, and her cherished grandchildren Elias and Dimitri. Her family will remember her for her gentle resilience, steady presence, and the deep affection she extended throughout her life.

A woman of abiding faith, Antonia dedicated many years to volunteering at the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral (Panagia). The church and its community were dear to her heart, and she offered her time with sincerity and humility.

Life’s simple pleasures brought her the greatest joy. Time spent in her garden, the comfort of crocheting and embroidery, and the pleasure of preparing meals for loved ones filled her days with purpose. Traveling with her daughter Despina brought laughter and treasured memories she held dear.

Though never one to seek attention, Antonia’s quiet influence left a lasting mark on all who knew her. Her unwavering spirit, thoughtful wisdom, and gracious generosity will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Now reunited with her beloved husband, she leaves behind a legacy of devotion, compassion, and steadfast perseverance.
