Obituary

At St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, May 31st, 2021 in her 93rd year, surrounded by her sons.  Eva Zajaczkowsky, beloved mother to Taras, Steve and his wife Ingrid, and grandmother “Buba” to Peter and Sophia.  Predeceased by her husband Ted.  Fondly remembered by her nephews, nieces and their families, and her Junction community where she was a hairstylist to many for over 5 decades.

As an expression of sympathy, go and buy some lottery tickets, especially Pick 3 and The Big Spin.  Nothing would make her happier.  If you win, consider donating to your favourite charity.

Due to the current Covid - 19 restrictions in Toronto that allow a maximum number of guests to attend a funeral, the service details will be kept private and attendance will be by invite-only.

Please contact the family  at 647-997-3424 or email  them at [email protected] to make arrangements to attend the visitation.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Mrs. Z. I remember a great lady that was full of life and laughter. While visiting in Toronto or at Cawaja Beach, my family was always welcomed into her heart and home where we shared delicious meals and fun times. Sleep well and enjoy styling hair in heaven. Terry and Steve, so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Remember meeting her a couple of times at the cottage years ago. A little spitfire she was :) There’s a special place in all of our hearts for our mothers, just like there’s a special place in every mother’s heart for her children. Continue to carry her memory in that special place in your heart. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your mother.

“Don’t tell Terry!” “What’s Stevie doing now?” followed by an infectious smile. Pani Zach, a most incredible woman, always had a welcoming open door to all and taught many of us the true meaning of hospitality. We are the true lottery winners by having had the privilege of Pani Zach in our lives. Memories last forever, so thank you for giving me some of my fondest. I’ll miss you.

Loving someone so special like your mom can feel incredibly over whelming. In these times of great sadness we hope you can take comfort in all of the beautiful memories you made together … from your growing up years to cottaging and Florida days. Eva was such a large part of your lives and hearts and so well loved and cared for. A mother is always with us … first in her lifetime with you and then in your memory. Once the funeral is over and the prayers have been said, know that we are keeping you in our hearts as you mourn her loss. May she Rest In Peace and continue to guide your way in life. Much love, Bob, Laura and family
