Auntie Joyce leaves us with so many lessons well learned.....first, to do no harm....she never harmed a soul. How many people do we know, or even know of, who we can truly say that about? Secondly, to get real joy out of the things that matter most, our families and loved ones. Nothing made her happier than being with her siblings, nephews and nieces and keeping track of our lives (yes, sometimes on an hourly basis). Thirdly, to live with courage and a positive attitude. I'll never forget the day when she learned that she needed to have half a lung cut out..."at least I have the best doctor to do the surgery" was her response to that news...and she soldiered on. That, my dear family, is what I call seeing the glass half full. I will miss her, we all will...
