Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Leonilde Paquete, who left us peacefully on April 6th, 2025 at the age of 90. She was a woman of great kindness, strength, and wisdom — loving, nurturing, and truly golden at heart. Leonilde found joy in crocheting, sipping tea on the porch, and being surrounded by the family and friends she treasured most.  Leonilde, a devoted mother, leaves behind her children, Lidia Machado (João) and Joe Paquete (Joanne), and is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, José. She will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughter, Kelly Machado Alexander (Jude), and her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Aidan, and Ariana.  Leonilde’s greatest gift was her ability to love unconditionally, a gift she shared freely and fully. Her legacy of warmth and devotion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.  While Leonilde’s earthly departure leaves an unfillable space in our hearts, her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on through her family. May she rest peacefully in the embrace of Our Heavenly Father.
