Obituary

Our beloved Margarida Moutinho departed her loving family on May 7, 2022. An incredible mother, wife and grandmother who always went above and beyond on how she showed her love for all of us. She will forever be missed by her loving husband Evaristo Moutinho. Cherished by her dear children, Pedro and Nelson Moutinho. Proud grandmother to Joshua and William Moutinho. She fought every step of the way, battling lung cancer over the course of the last 20 months. She always showed tremendous courage, strength and the true spirit of a warrior along the way. A lifelong inspiration to us all. She was the pillar of our family. Throughout her life, Margarida had shown us that family tradition were most important to her. She brought these traditions to life, through her passion for arts and her creative touch. Her love for interior design was shown by always cultivating a beautiful atmosphere in her home and the places she went. Always smiling, always joking, just a beautiful perspective of life was who she was. Her spirit will continue to shine through the hearts of her loved ones. As she said, “I will continue to give my best.” We will continue to give our best, in her memory. We will carry and honour her memory in our hearts forever

Pedro and Nelson, we are very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. It is never easy to express feelings when we know from experience there are no words that can fully capture the depth of losing a parent. We have such beautiful memories of your mother. From always letting "the girls up the street" look after little Nelson, to her warm smile and saying hello as she took Poonky out for a walk. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you in the days ahead. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Moutinho family. May she rest in eternal peace.

Please accept our most heartful sympathies for your loss. We were filled with grief when we came to know about the sudden demise of your beloved mother. May the memories and the love that you and your family shared with her comfort you in some way. Treasured in your heart your mom will stay, until you meet again someday. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday unseen, unheard, but always near, still LOVED and still MISSED. For now we say GOOD NIGHT and RIP Margarida … You will be missed but never ever forgotten.
