Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Amelia Henriques on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Maria passed peacefully while at Lakeshore Lodge LTCH at the age of 95. Loving mother of Rui and Mario, mother-in-law to Clara and Niko, grandmother to Kelly and Melanie and great-grandmother to Adrien, Dylan, Ava and Zidan. Special thanks to all the staff at Lakeshore Lodge and the Toronto Rehab-University Centre, Specialized Dementia Unit for their wonderful support and care during the duration of her stay. Service will be held at Cardinal Funeral Homes-Chapel, 366 Bathurst Street, Toronto (416-603-1444) on Thursday, November 5th at 1:00pm. Visiting from 12:30 to 1:00pm. Burial at Prospect Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
