Obituary

God called Maria Eduarda peacefully on November 15, 2022, at the age of 83. She is reunited with her cherished predeceased husband José, and forever adored by her children, Alice (Sid), Lourdes (Richard), Jess (Christina), and beloved grandchildren, Monica, Anthony, Olivia, Alexandra, Isabella and Bennett.  Eduarda will be fondly remembered by her siblings Luisa, Antonio José, Lourdes, and Alice, and is rejoined in heaven with her brother Manuel, her beloved parents, and countless family and friends who went before her.  She will be held dear in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of relatives and friends, whose relationships she nurtured and cherished over many, many years.

Throughout her life, Eduarda was grateful for what she had and braved through challenges with courage, resilience and selflessness.  She was a very talented seamstress, an incredible homemaker and an expert caregiver.  She lived a life of devotion, charity, humility and hard-work, and generously shared her genuine kindness, thoughtfulness, sense of humour, and comforting words, smile and hugs with others. Eduarda made everyone she knew and anyone she met feel special, and always wished God’s blessings on them. She loved all of us unconditionally. She was our mentor, our hero, our touchstone. Not a moment will pass that we will not miss her voice and words of wisdom, love and support. Her last words to us were “I’m thinking of you, think of me.”  She could not have uttered a more simple request and comforting declaration.

Dearest, beautiful Mom, Heaven is so very lucky to have you.

My heart is broken; I only found out today, and I want to express my sincerest condolences upon the loss of a dear mother and grandmother. Along with your Dad, your mother was such an important part of my experience and family experience at Tremco. She was indeed a blessing, who loved her family with all her heart, and loved people. She will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
