Mrs. Maria Fernandes Bairos Rego

Obituary

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Maria Fernandes Bairos Rego on July 6, 2023 at the age of 85.

 

Maria was born in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Açores, to Maria Soares Fernandes Bairos and Joao Leandres Bairos. Along with her parents she is greeted in heavenly peace by her beloved husband, Antonio Sousa Rego,  and her dear brother Antonio Fernandes Bairos.

 

She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children, Antonio Jose and Nelia, son-in-law Michael, and adored grand-daughter Emma Marie. She will also be missed by her dear brother Jose Bairos and sister- in-law Inês Bairos, sister-in-law Deolinda Leandres Bairos and all her nieces, nephews and cousins. She was loved by many and will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends.

 

Maria loved spending time with her family and prior to her illness, was always cooking and baking up a storm and making sure everyone was taken care of.

 

She will always be remembered for her smile, sharp wit, caring nature, selflessness and boundless love to all around her.
