Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to our Beloved Mom and Giagia at the age of 88.

Mom was born on December 5th, 1935, to Anastasios and Athena Karambelas in Lefkochoma, Laconia, in the village of Kavouraki, Sparti, Greece.

Mom travelled on the T.S.S. Olympia Greek Line from Piraeus, Athens, to Halifax arriving in Canada on August 04th, 1958.  She met and subsequently married our late father George on November 07, 1959.

Mom was the 2nd of 4 children and the only sister to Peter, George, and Louis, who she was very close with.

Mom leaves behind her 2 children, Stella and Jim, and her cherished granddaughters Julia and Krystyna. She was a kind, giving person, a tremendous baker and cook, and a wonderful Thea and dear friend to many.

Mom, you will be missed dearly.

 

In lieu of flowers the family kindly suggests that donations may be made to the Hellenic Home for the Aged - Toronto.
